Romelu Lukaku has a agreed a season-long loan deal to return to Inter Milan which has sparked a forward line reshuffle at Chelsea.
The Belgian, who signed for a club-record 98 million pounds (120 million USD) in the summer of 2021, will return to Serie A for a loan fee 8 million euros (Approx 8.5 million USD).
Lukaku might have finished his maiden term at Chelsea as leading scorer, but the 29-year-old courted controversy on several occasions, most notably in an interview with Italian TV revealing unhappiness at Stamford Bridge.
Belgium hitman Lukaku issued a public apology to Chelsea fans in January after that interview had backfired.
Thomas Tuchel has been given the chance to reshape the Blues squad with Lukaku heading back to Italy.
