Major League Soccer side Inter Miami is in talks with German attacker Mario Gotze as they seek to sign him in the summer.
90min confirms that Miami is willing to pay the €4m release clause in his deal inserted by his club PSV Eindhoven with the likes of Benfica and Eintracht Frankfurt also said to be interested in signing the player.
Gotze has had a trophy-laden career after featuring for both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and has shown that he still has a lot to provide after netting 18 goals and 18 assists in 77 appearances across all competitions for PSV since joining them in 2020.
His perfect outing with the club earned him a contract extension through 2024 last year but Fabrizio Romano reports that the player’s camp has already held talks with Miami.

The 30-year-old struggled with injuries in his last seasons in the Bundesliga but his experience is valuable having won league and cup titles in Germany and Netherlands with Bayern, Dortmund, and PSV – most recently winning the KNVB Cup this season.
In league play, Gotze has 66 goals and 71 assists to his name in 278 appearances. At the international level, Gotze picked up 63 caps for Germany between 2010 and 2017, famously scoring the winning goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.
