Injury woes deepen for SV Darmstadt 98 as Braydon Manu’s return remains uncertain

SV Darmstadt 98 is grappling with a prolonged setback as Braydon Manu’s return to the pitch appears shrouded in uncertainty.

The forward, sidelined for over two months due to an ankle injury, is not expected to rejoin Darmstadt’s lineup anytime soon, according to a somber revelation from coach Torsten Lieberknecht during Friday’s press conference.

Lieberknecht conveyed the gravity of Manu’s situation, indicating that the prospect of him resuming team training is not on the immediate horizon.

“With him it’s groping in the dark. He hasn’t made much progress recently. He is currently in rehab in Schweinfurt,” he said.

The injury, sustained over two months ago, has kept Manu on the sidelines, prompting a cautious approach to his rehabilitation.

Lieberknecht emphasized the hope shared by all parties involved that Manu can navigate this setback with conservative treatment, steering clear of the surgical route. However, this crucial decision, pivotal to the player’s recovery, hangs in the balance and is slated for resolution in the coming two weeks.
