Midfielder Thomas Partey has been named in the 29-man squad of the Ghana national team despite sustaining a a thigh injury.
The 29-year-old missed Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford after picking up the injury against Fulham.
He adds up to Benjamin Tetteh, Daniel Kofi Kyere and Baba Iddrisu who are on the sideline but got selection for Ghana’s friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
Ghana is expected to play the two matches as part of preparation towards the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in November/December.
The Black Stars are scheduled to face Brazil on Friday, September 23, at Stade Oceane in Le Harve- France before taking on Nicaragua three days later at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Spain.
