Dreams FC’s head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has pinpointed the inexperience of his players as the main reason for their slow start to the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
With only four wins, eight draws, and seven losses, the team is currently hovering above the relegation zone with 20 points.
In an interview with Graphic Sports, the experienced gaffer is positive his side will bounce back strongly despite the setbacks.
“Some of our players came from Division Two, and when you are learning, patience is required. Some adapt quickly, but others take time to adjust to the system.
“The level of play in the second division is completely different from the Premier League,” he noted.
“Players coming from the lower tier always struggle at first, but I can assure you that when the league resumes, we will be a different side altogether,” he added.
The league has been on hold for month after Kotoko fan Naa Pooley was stabbed to death in a game between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC in Nsoatre.
However, it is set to resume on March 7 across all match centres.
