English-born Ghanaian forward Eddie Nketiah has been named in Whoscored.com’s English Premier League Team of the Week following his exploits against Chelsea in midweek.
The 22-year-old Arsenal striker netted a brace as the Gunners thumped their London rivals 4-2 at the Stamford Bridge.
Nketiah, who earlier this week stated his is opened to a Black Stars call up, followed it up with a magnificent performance against the Blues.
He is joined in the team by Liverpool quartet Virgil Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.
Burnley trio Nicolas Pope, Nathan Collins and Josh Brownhill also make the team alongside Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United and Joao Cancelo of Manchester City.
Eddie Nketiah was scoring his first and second goals in the English Premier League this season, having already netted five in the Carabao Cup.
It was his 15th Premier League appearance this season and his first in the team of the week.
Eddie Nketiah was born to Ghanaian parents in London and has represented England at youth levels but insists he is open to play for Ghana.
The Ghana Football Association have already started the process of getting the young forward switch his nationality.
