Inaki Williams put up his best performance in a Ghana shirt against Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup qualifying game in Kumasi on Friday.
The Athletic Bilbao forward scored the winner in stoppage time to give the Black Stars a hard fought 1-0 victory at the Baba Yara Stadium.
With basically the last kick of the game, Inaki rose above the crowd to head home from a delightful cross by Gideon Mensah .
The celebration that followed was a mix of elation and relief, both among the players and the passionate fans.
The 29 year old switched his allegiance to play for Ghana in May 2022. Prior to today, the striker had failed to find the back of the net in his previous ten appearances for the Black Stars.
