Bechem United attacker Augustine Okrah has named Asante Kotoko defender, Ibrahim lmoro as his best player in the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier league season.
Okrah has been one of the most outstanding players on the local terrain, scoring 14 goals, the third highest in the league, superseded by Kotoko’s Frank Mbella and Yaw Annor of AshantiGold.
The latter also broke a 21-year-old record for most goals in a single season – 22 goals held by Hearts of Oak legend, Ismael Addo.
But Okrah has been mesmerized by the quality of Kotoko left back, Ibrahim.
“Unlike some defenders that I handled very well, I almost always found it difficult to play against him, because he always tormented me anytime we met. His sense of timing was good and he robbed us of many 50/50 balls.
“He was also superior in the air by winning almost all aerial balls, tackled well to deny us some scoring opportunities. This explains why I rate him as my best player of the season,” Okrah told Graphic Sports.
The full-back netted twice and provided eight assists in 27 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors.
