FC Union Berlin forward Ilyas Ansah gave his team a brief scare after picking up an ankle knock during training earlier this week.
The German-Ghanaian attacker reportedly went down in visible pain during an intense drill but received swift attention from club physiotherapist Sven Kuhlbrodt, according to Kicker.
As a precaution, his ankle was later wrapped in a cooling bandage, with head coach Steffen Baumgart taking time to speak with the youngster to ensure he understood the importance of recovery.
It’s still unclear if he will sit out future sessions, but the club remains optimistic about a quick recovery.
Ansah has been one of Union Berlin’s standout performers this season, featuring in nine Bundesliga matches and contributing four goals and one assist so far in the 2025/26 campaign.
