Ibrahim Sunday calls on Ghanaians to support Black Stars to succeed in Qatar

Legendary Ibrahim Sunday has called on Ghanaians to thrown their support behind the Black Stars to succeed in a 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana will be making its fourth appearance in the World Cup which kicks off on November 20 in Qatar.

The Black Stars have been housed in Group H where they face Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

Ahead of the tournament, the former Asante Kotoko player called on Ghanaians to rallied behind the team.

“Whatever we have or we know to do to help the Black Stars do well at the World Cup, as individuals and groups, we have to do it. So that in the end, we all give thanks to the Almighty.

“They [Black Stars] are going to make it “Insha Allah”. But they cannot make it without our support. So we need everyone’s support,” Sunday told Citi Sports.

The Black Stars will open their World Cup account against Portugal on November 24 before taking on Uruguay and South Korea respectively.

The biggest soccer mundial has been scheduled for November and December this year, with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in Qatar.
