Ghanaian midfielder Evelyn Badu has set sights on playing for Barcelona in future after achieving glory in African football last night.
The 19-year-old won both the Young Player of the Year and Interclub Player of the Year at the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Awards 2022 held in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
Badu ace dominated both categories for her outstanding performances under the period considered which she helped the club to five unprecedented titles.
Badu, who currently plays for Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL has named the female side of Barcelona and Chelsea as her future clubs after achieving glory in African football last night.
“I would like to play Barcelona. Is the team of my heart. For me to retire or quit football, at least I have to play Barcelona,” Badu, who currently plays for Norwegian club Avaldsnes IL told Original FM.
“I want to join Oshoala in Barca or play Chelsea. I will be happy to play Barca or Chelsea.”
She finished the CAF Women’s Champions League as the top scorer with five goals and Best Player of the Tournament and deservedly came through with both awards.
