West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville has shared his admiration for Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, calling him a player he looks up to.
The Dutch footballer scored for the Hammers in their 2-1 win against Manchester United on Sunday at London Stadium.
After finding the net, Summerville ran 50 yards to celebrate with Kudus, who was on the bench, serving a suspension following his red card against Tottenham Hotspur.
“I told Mo that when I came on, I was going to score, and that I was going to celebrate with him,” Summerville said.
“I like Mo a lot – I look up to him on and off the pitch, and the emotions all just came out.
“I’m very happy with the goal. You always have to be alert in the box, I switched on and I was happy to see the ball fall to my feet.”
Kudus is expected to return to action on November 25 after the international break.
