Tottenham forward Steven Bergwijn has reiterated his desire to leave north London this summer while on International duty with the Netherlands.
The 24-year-old has joined up with the Oranje for their Nations League clashes with Wales and Poland, having played 90 minutes and scored against Belgium in a 4-1 victory over the weekend.

But, Bergwijn last played 90 minutes for Tottenham in January and despite 23 appearances this season, the Dutchman has started just 4 Premier League games.
And, speaking to Dutch outlet AD, the Spurs man spoke about his reasons for leaving Tottenham, and revealed that he hoped for a conclusion to his transfer saga soon.
‘It would be nice if there was clarity soon’, he revealed. ‘I just have to go play. But I want to leave Spurs now, that’s for sure’.
‘Whether it is important that my new club plays in the Champions League? That’s not even top priority. Though it would be nice. What’s important is that I’m going to play.’
Ajax on the cards?
The club most strongly linked with a move for Bergwijn is current Eredivise champions Ajax, although much of their transfer business likely hinges on departures, with both Jurrien Timber and Antony linked with moves away following Erik ten Hag’s departure.

Spurs are unlikely to accept much less than the £25m fee that they bought him for in January 2020, but Ajax may be unwilling to pay that much, which could leave the market open for other sides to swoop in.
