I have contacted injured Dauda Mohammed and apologised – UD Ibiza defender Fran Grima reveals

Spanish defender, Fran Grima has apologised for injuring Ghana international Mohammed Dauda.

The right-back was in action for UD Ibiza over the past weekend as Dauda Mohammed also started for CD Tenerife.

In the early parts of the Spanish Segunda match, the Ghana player was tackled by Fran Grima as he suffered an injury and had to be substituted.

According to Fran Grima, he has reached out to Dauda Mohammed and apologised to him personally.

“I would like to apologize to my teammate Mo Dauda and to the entire CD Tenerife. I would never seek to harm a colleague. Both in the game and as soon as I found out about the injury, I contacted Dauda to offer him my apologies personally,” the UD Ibiza defender has disclosed in a Tweet.

From the information gathered, Mohammed Dauda suffered the fracture of two vertebrae after that strong tackle from Fran Grima.

He is expected to stay out of action for several weeks.
