Ghanaian attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus has expressed his excitement after bagging the back-to-back Footballer of the Year award at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards held on Saturday in Accra.
The West Ham United man beat competition from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Osman Bukari, and Inaki Williams to claim the prestigious honor.
In his acceptance speech, Kudus expressed his excitement after winning the accolade:
“I feel good, I’m privileged to be in this position. It’s a testament of my hard work and dedication. This is a motivation to keep going; I have a long way to still go so there’s a long way to go but I’m happy to have won it for the second time and it’s motivation for the upcoming season.”
Kudus scored 14 goals and providing six assists in 45 appearances for West Ham last season.
