I didn’t apply for Black Stars job to avoid adding to Kurt’s stress – Karim Zito

Coach Abdul Karim Zito, has made a surprising revelation, stating he sacrificed his own coaching career to protect Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku from potential criticism.

Zito, who led the U20 team to Africa Cup of Nations victory in 2021, believes he is qualified to join the Black Stars technical team but has never applied for the position due to his affiliation with Kurt.

He fears that his application would have intensified criticism of Okraku.

In an interview with Joy Sports, Zito explained, “I didn’t apply for the Black Stars job to avoid adding to Kurt’s stress”

“I know I’m qualified, but I prioritized his well-being over my own career ambitions.”
