South Korea forward Hwang Hee-chan has issued a firm message ahead of a meeting with Ghana, as they are determined to close out the year on a high.
The Wolves attacker acknowledged that recent months have been challenging for both club and country but says the Korea camp is fully locked in as preparations continue toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The two face off in their final international friendly on November 18, ahead of the global tournament.
“Ghana is a very strong team and, like I said, I know a few of their players – but for us, this is an important match,” Hwang said.
“The last time we played at home it was against Brazil and we lost, so now is the time to make a good result and put in a strong performance,” he added.
Ghana, meanwhile, are using these friendlies to refine Otto Addo’s squad after a 2-0 defeat to Japan on Friday.
