The Ghana Football Association president, Kurt Okraku has raised speculations of the possibility of hiring Hugo Broos as the head coach of the Black Stars after the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Broos is currently the gaffer of the South Africa and will lead them at the continental tournament which kicks off on January 13.

The 71-year-old was an AFCON winner with Cameroon at the 2017 edition in Gabon.

But the Belgian has been under scrutiny by South Africans for the squad selected to represent the country at the upcoming event.

He responded by outlining the prime criteria of his call-up which hinges on the tactical set-up.

The comments drew praise from Okraku on social media.

Ghana boss Chris Hughton has been under fire in recents for the Black Stars’ uninspiring performances.

The team has won four matches in nine outings.

The senior national team head into the AFCON in group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

Hughton’s contract runs until December 21 and a likely stay in the job depends on the nation’s performance at the tournament.
