Hohoe United continued their rise with a famous 1–0 victory over Asante Kotoko at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, sealing a memorable first-ever league win against the Porcupine Warriors.
The newly promoted side played with confidence in front of a lively home crowd, while Kotoko struggled to adapt and looked second-best for long spells of the match.
The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when William Oduro curled a brilliant free-kick into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper Mohammed Camara with no chance.
Kotoko pushed for a response after the break but lacked sharpness in the final third, extending their winless run to four matches and deepening concerns over their recent form.
The defeat leaves Kotoko fifth on the table, five points adrift of the leaders, ahead of a tricky home clash against Dreams FC.
Hohoe United, now up to ninth, will look to maintain their momentum when they travel to play Berekum Chelsea next.
