Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has confirmed Samuel Osei Kuffour has resignition from his position as a member of the Black Stars management committee.
The former Bayern Munich centre-back, reportedly tendered his resignation before the 2023 African Cup of Nations doubleheader qualifiers against Angola.
Asante Twum confirmed the news in an interview with Accra-based Max FM, adding that Kuffour cited his desire to focus on his duties at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) as the reason for his resignation.

He told the GFA that he wants to focus on his duties at the PFAG (Professional Footballers Association of Ghana)”
Kuffour played 53 times for the Black Stars from 1993 to 2006 and was part of the team that qualified Ghana for its first-ever World Cup appearance in Germany in 2006.
