Hearts of Oak will head into Sunday’s heavyweight showdown with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium close to full strength, head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has revealed.
The February 15 encounter pits fourth-placed Hearts against fifth-placed Kotoko in another chapter of Ghana’s fiercest domestic rivalry.
The fixture arrives amid turbulence for Kotoko following Abdul Karim Zito’s resignation, with Prince Owusu currently serving as interim coach.
Despite the intensity surrounding the contest, Dramani says his side are physically ready for the task.
“We have been very lucky; we have close to 90 to 98% of our squad fit. Very few players are unavailable, especially Rocky Dwamena,” he said.
The positive injury situation offers Hearts a significant lift heading into the high-pressure affair.
Dramani also provided an update on Kwabena Owusu, who has been sidelined for a spell.
He indicated that the forward is closing in on a return to full fitness.
“I think at least 98% of our players are training and ready,” Dramani added, signalling confidence ahead of the weekend’s blockbuster fixture.
With squad depth and momentum on their side, Hearts will aim to capitalise when the rivals collide in Kumas
