New signing Eric Ofori Antwi has described Hearts of Oak as “one of the biggest clubs” and believes the move is a step in the right direction for his career.
The shot-stopper sealed a three-year deal with the Phobians after terminating his contract with Legon Cities.
The former Medeama goalkeeper will be a successor for Richmond Ayi who is set to leave the shores of Africa to join American-based Cincinnati, one of the partners of the FA Cup record winners.
“I need to grab this opportunity because Hearts is one of the biggest clubs in Africa.” Antwi said in an interview with Agboo FM.
“I believe playing for Hearts will help my career in future.”
He is expected to be a back-up for the club’s number one, Richard Attah.
Antwi has almost ten years of experience on the local terrain, having played for Amidaus Professionals, Asante Kotoko, Medeama SC and Legon Cities.
