Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare ruled out for two weeks with injury

Hearts of Oak have suffered a setback with first-choice goalkeeper Benjamin Asare sidelined for around two weeks due to injury.

The shot-stopper has already missed the club’s last three matches and will not feature in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League clash against Nations FC.

His absence comes at a tough time for the Phobians, who have just one win in their last four matches and were recently knocked out of the FA Cup by third-tier side True Life FC.

Asare, who was on international duty earlier this month, has been replaced by Solomon Agbasi, who is expected to continue in goal until the number one returns.

The goalkeeper has made eight league appearances this season, keeping five clean sheets. Hearts will be hoping he recovers quickly as they look to stabilise their campaign.
