Hearts of Oak are close to completing the signing of former Samartex forward Evans Osei Wusu as they continue rebuilding their squad before the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Accra-based club have identified the talented attacker as a key transfer target and are working to secure an agreement before the new season begins. Negotiations remain ongoing, with Hearts of Oak pushing to finalise the deal and add Osei Wusu to their attacking options.
A move to the Phobians would reunite Osei Wusu with head coach Nebojsa Kapor. The Serbian previously worked with the forward at Tema Youth, where Osei Wusu developed under his guidance and gained valuable experience in Ghanaian football.
Kapor’s previous knowledge of the player is understood to be an important factor in Hearts’ pursuit. The coach is familiar with Osei Wusu’s qualities and progress, having watched him develop during their time together at Tema Youth.
