Hearts of Oak secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Medeama SC in a crucial Ghana Premier League match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The win marked the end of Hearts of Oak’s four-match winless run.

Raphael Amponsah’s 23rd-minute goal gave Hearts of Oak a well-deserved lead at halftime.

Despite Medeama’s relentless pressure on the Hearts of Oak defense in the second half, they couldn’t find the back of the net, allowing the Phobians to hold onto their narrow advantage.

The win helped Hearts of Oak climbing to fourth place on the league table with 40 and Medeama SC dropping to seventh 38 points.

Hearts of Oak’s next game is against Vision FC while Medeama SC will face Dreams FC.
