Accra Hearts of Oak’s assistant coach, Abdul Rahim Bashiru, commended the team’s performance following their 3-1 triumph against Karela United.

Despite conceding an early goal, the “Phobians” showcased dominance from the onset, ultimately clinching victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

Bashiru expressed satisfaction with the players’ execution of the game plan, emphasizing their resilience after conceding the opening goal.

“It was a nice feeling the way the boys played we have to congratulate them they really played so well,” he remarked to StarTimes post-match.

“Because we dominated since the blow of the whistle although Karela took us by surprise to take the lead but we managed they played according to the plan. So I am happy for them and the good result,” he added.

Goals from Hamza Issah, who netted twice, and Salim Adams in the 64th minute secured the vital win for Hearts of Oak. With the victory, the team sits 9th on the Premier League log with 35 points from 26 games.

Their next challenge awaits as they face Legon Cities away on match week 27.
