Heart of Lions defender Patrick Wilson Mensah has lamented his team’s lack of cutting edge in their 1-0 defeat to Legon Cities on Monday in match week 16 of the Ghana Premier League.

He said the returnees wasted three clear chances against the Royals at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.

“In yesterday’s game, we played well took control of the game, had three clear chances but couldn’t score, they had a chance, scored, and defended until the end,” he told saharafootball.com.

Despite the win, the Royals still sit 8th on the league table with 21 points while Heart of Lions are still winless and are bottom of the league with 8 points.

Just 15 minutes into the game, William Kwaku Adjei banged in the only goal of the clash to deliver victory for the hosts.

New manager Bahir Hayford could not inspire his side to get an equaliser in the second half, with the game ending 1-0 in Sogakope.
