Goztepe of the Turkish Super Lig have finalized the acquisition of Ghanaian midfielder Musah Mohammed during the winter transfer window.
The 24-year-old leaves Bodrum, a second-tier side, on a deal lasting three and a half years, with an additional year option included.
The club officially announced the signing on Wednesday, bringing an end to Mohammed’s long association with Bodrum.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Musah Mohammed, born in 2002, on a three-and-a-half-year contract with a one-year club option,” the club wrote on social media.
“Welcome to the family, Musah Mohammed. We wish you great success and unforgettable moments with our glorious club.”
Originating from Nkawkaw, Mohammed joined Bodrum in 2022 from Ankaraspor and was instrumental in their promotion to the Turkish top division, although the team suffered relegation last season.
Goztepe had pursued the midfielder in the summer, but negotiations fell through as Bodrum were unwilling to release one of their key performers.
In his first season in the Super Lig in 2024/25, Mohammed played 25 games and contributed four assists for Bodrum.
This current campaign has seen him appear in 21 matches across all competitions, scoring once and setting up two goals.
