Former Ghana International Godwin Attram has cautioned the current generation of players against the pursuit of luxury at an early age, amid growing interest from Saudi Arabia.
Attram has advised players play to the highest level before turning their attention to seek riches in the latter stages of their careers.
The former Great Olympics player and Stade Tunisien forward was among a number of promising Ghanaian players in the early 2000’s.
However, Attram’s career path did not go as planned, leading to Attram ‘underachieving’, in the eyes of Ghanaians.
Speaking to 3Sports about the growing interest of clubs in Ghanaian players, Attram said:
“Decision-making in football can also support your career and can also bring you down. So I believe they have managers and handlers who are advising them well. They are also playing active football in the English Premier League as we speak now Saudi Arabia is a gallon thing in life. To end your career, to win money, whatever that you want to do”
Attram is currently in charge of Divisiom One side Attram De Visser, who he led to a historic finish in the MTN FA Cup semi-finals.
