Chairman of the Black Princesses Management Committee, Gideon Fosu, has set his sights on leading the team to the Round of 16 stage at the 2024 Women’s Under 20 World Cup.
Ghana is grouped with Austria, Japan, and New Zealand in Group E, with the top two teams automatically advancing to the next stage.
The Princesses have not qualified beyond the group stages in their last six appearances at the championship.
“Going into this tournament, I think the aim is to move past the group stage and then take it game after game so that has been our motivation so far and that has been the story for all the girls, for the technical team and for everybody that has been part of the team…so we are working hard towards that.”
The team departed Accra for Columbia on Tuesday to continue preparations ahead of the tournament.
The 2024 Women’s Under 20 World Cup takes place from August 31 to September 22.
