Ghanaian forward Zakaria Mugeese scored for his team, SC Ashdod, in a game against Hapoel Hadera on Saturday in the Israeli top flight.
The former Black Satellites player’s team won the game 2-0, and it was their second win away from home in the 2022-23 season.
In the game, Ashdod’s midfielder Mohamad Kanaan scored the first goal, 7 minutes into the second half. Mugeese was then brought into the game, replacing forward Roei Ben Shimon in 58 minutes.
Mugeese then scored the second goal for Ashdod in the last minutes of the game, with the help of Yaakov Brihon.
Another player from Ghana, Elton Acolatse, came in as a substitute during the second half, while another Ghanaian player, Emmanuel Mamatah, did not play.
So far, in the Israeli League, Mugeese has played in 11 games, scored 2 goals and helped create one more goal.
