The Black Comets, Ghana’s U-15 boys team, are set to face a challenging semifinal matchup against Tanzania in the ongoing 2025 CAF Schools Football Championship on Friday.
After dominating Group A, the team will look to continue their impressive form against Tanzania, who finished second in Group B.
Ghana’s journey to the semifinals was marked by an unbeaten run in the group stage, where they secured victories over Uganda, South Africa, and Algeria.
Ghana won 2-0 over Uganda in their opening game set the tone for their campaign, followed by a 1-0 win over South Africa. They concluded the group stage with a convincing 3-0 victory over Algeria, showcasing their skills and determination.
Tanzania, on the other hand, secured their spot in the semifinals by finishing above Côte d’Ivoire in Group B, thanks to their superior goal-scoring record in the competition.
The semifinal matchups promise to be exciting, with Ghana facing Tanzania and Uganda taking on Senegal, who finished third in the 2024 edition.
