As part of their preparations for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the South Korean Football Association is planning high-profile international friendly games against Brazil and Argentina in June.
The Koreans are hoping to excel in Qatar and have been placed in a difficult group including Portugal, Uruguay and Ghana.
But South Korea coach Paulo Bento is worried because June is a time when the overseas players who make up the offensive line’s main axis, such as Tottenham’s Heung-Min Son and Bordeaux’s Ui-Jo Hwang, are tired after a long season.
He may not have the full complement of his squad for the important trial games.
South Korea will play the Black Stars in their second group game on November 28, 2022, at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.
The South Korean Football Association are expected to release more information later regarding the team’s preparations for the tournament.
