Nana Boateng was named in the ideal squad of the year in Romania’s premier league at the end of 2022. Four players from the champion CFR Cluj are among the players picked by Basarab Panduru at Orange Sport.
Cluj: Goalkeeper Scufett, defenders Manea and Burcă, and midfielder Nana Boateng.
Panduru chose only one player from FCSB, Darius Olaru, but also two from Craiova University and the leader Farul.
The full team chosen by Panduru: Scuffet – Manea, Sapunaru, Burcă, Bancu – Crețu, Boateng, Olaru – Sefer, Alibec, Pitu.
Nana Boateng joined CFR Cluj in 2021 from Veikkausliiga side Kuopion Palloseura.
The former Right to Dream graduate has played 16 games, scored one goal, and assisted one in the Romanian Superliga this season.
CFR Cluj is second on the league table with 44 points after 21 games. CFR Cluj will take on league leaders Farul on 23rd January 2023 in a battle for first position.
