Ghana’s Bernard Tekpetey scores against Furth in club friendly

In their second game in Austria, Ludogorets failed to overcome German team Greuther Furth. The game ended 1-1 as Bernard Tkpetei scored in the first minute and Jung equalized in the 51st minute.

The game was divided into two 60-minute halves. Ludogorets held the upper hand for the whole of the game, but wasted many clear opportunities, particularly in the first half.

An odd thing occurred during the match. The main referee was hit by a Greuther Furth player 20 minutes before the end, causing him to be unable to continue and the match to be decided by his assistant.

After the game, Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey stated that he is ready to stay in good shape and help Ludogorets win more trophies.

Bernard Tekpetey won the 2021/22 Bulgarian league title with Ghanaian striker Elvis Manu who has since left the club.
