Ghanaian international Bernard Mensah showcased his exceptional talent by scoring his first career hat-trick in a thrilling Saudi Pro League match between Al Tai and Al Ettifaq. Despite his remarkable performance, Mensah’s Al Tai side ultimately faced defeat as Al Ettifaq secured a last-minute victory.
The match began with Al Ettifaq taking an early lead just two minutes into the game, courtesy of Georginio Wijnaldum. However, Mensah swiftly responded, finding the back of the net to equalize for Al Tai just seven minutes later.
Mensah wasn’t done yet; he added another goal to his tally in the 36th minute, giving his team a temporary lead. French forward Moussa Dembele managed to level the scores once again for Al Ettifaq just four minutes before halftime, making it 2-2 at the break.
In the second half, Mensah continued to shine, securing his hat-trick with another goal to put Al Tai ahead once more. Wijnaldum, however, was determined to keep Al Ettifaq in the game, scoring his second goal to equalize with 19 minutes remaining.
As the match seemed destined for a draw, Dembele delivered a dramatic winner in injury time, sealing the victory for Al Ettifaq.
