Ghanaians puzzled by Majeed Ashimeru’s absence in latest Black Stars squad

Majeed Ashimeru was not included in the latest Black Squad for the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua and some Ghanaians on Twitter have been left puzzled by his absence.

The midfielder has been on top form for Anderlecht in the Belgian top-flight division in the ongoing campaign.

The 24 year old has been involved in two goals in four games, recording a goal and assist.

But despite his blistering start to the new season, the talented playmaker has again been overlooked by the technical handlers of the senior national team.

Even with the injury concerns of Thomas Partey and Baba Iddrisu, Coach Otto Addo named both in his 29-man squad rather than give Ashimeru a chance.

A decision that has left most fans bewildered. Ghana will play Brazil on Friday, September 23, at Stade Oceane in Le Harve- France before taking on Nicaragua three days later at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Spain.
