Ghanaian youngsters Raphaël Sarfo and Gabriel Misehouy score in Jong Ajax draw with Eindhoven

Two Dutch-born Ghanaian rising stars, Raphaël Sarfo and Gabriel Misehouy, etched their names in the headlines with a scintillating display for Jong Ajax against Eindhoven.

The Dutch Eerste Divisie encounter ended in a pulsating 2-2 draw, but it was the youthful exuberance of Sarfo and Misehouy that stole the spotlight.

The action kicked off with a burst of energy as Sarfo, a nineteen-year-old right-wing defender, seized the opportunity after a careless misstep by the home team. Swiftly maneuvering down the right flank, Sarfo showcased his skill by outwitting goalkeeper Jorn Brondeel with a precise shot into the far corner, giving Ajax an early lead of 1-0.

However, the drama didn’t stop there. Dyon Dorenbosch amplified Jong Ajax’s offensive efforts by converting a corner kick into a goal, putting the team on the front foot again. The scoreboard reflected a 1-1 deadlock as the first half concluded.

The second half unfolded with Anass Salah-Eddine making a decisive move, dribbling past his opponent and orchestrating a seamless play that culminated in Misehouy slotting in the ball with ease, giving Jong Ajax a 2-1 lead.

Yet, Ajax struggled to maintain their lead against a more aggressive Eindhoven side. In a pivotal moment, Ozan Kökcü capitalized on the Eindhoven team’s vigor, expertly curling the ball into the far corner behind Tom de Graaff, leveling the score at 2-2.
