German-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Aaron Opoku has offered an unqualified apology for his conduct in the Hamburg SV v Darmstadt game that has landed him into trouble.

The winger featured for Hamburg SV last Friday when the team lost 2-1 to Darmstadt.

During the game, Aaron Opoku kicked an opponent in the stomach and was sent off for his conduct.

In a post on social media, the youngster says he is sorry for his actions.

“I apologize again publicly because what happened to me last Friday doesn’t belong in professional sports, but I let my emotion get the better of me, which still doesn’t excuse the whole thing.

“Of course I will bear every consequence & still come back stronger I make mistakes & learn from them I thank the team and everyone around me who give me courage and support me positively ?.” He posted on his social networks to apologise for his silly conduct,” Aaron Opoku said.

The forward has been slapped with a five-match ban and is not expected to feature for Hamburg SV until late September.
