Ghanaian teenager Douglas Owusu is on the verge of a landmark move to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade.
The 19-year-old attacker has agreed to a three-year deal, with an option for an additional year, as Red Star pay around €2.7 million to secure him from FK Radnik Surdulica.
Owusu is expected to complete the paperwork and join Red Star in Antalya, Turkey, where the club is currently holding its mid-season camp.
His breakthrough first half of the season earned him a spot in the Serbian Super Liga Team of the First Round, highlighting his influence and consistency.
At Radnik, he scored seven goals in 20 league appearances while impressing with his movement, link-up play, and work rate.
Since moving from Ghanaian side Asekem FC in 2024, Owusu has adapted quickly to Serbian football, establishing himself as a key figure and attracting interest from clubs including Young Boys, Samsunspor, and Al Ahly.
Red Star acted decisively to win the race for his signature, offering him a platform to showcase his talent in European competitions.
