Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Kevin Luckassen registered his name on the scoresheet for UTA Arad in the Romanian Superliga.
Luckassen lasted 87 minutes in his outfit’s 2-0 home win against Hermannstadt on Saturday afternoon.
In a spirited performance at the Arena Francisc Neuman, the home side scored in the second half through Romanian international Claudiu Micovschi and Dutch Ghanaian striker Kevin Luckassen.
Kevin Luckassen opened the scoring in the 79th minute. Luckassen received the ball between the lines and headed towards the goal, beating Cabuz. Eric Johana Omondi assisted Kevin Luckassen’s goal.
Romanian international Claudiu Micovschi scored UTA Arad’s second goal in the 82nd minute. Micovschi is seen perfectly on the left unmarked, takes over, enters the box, and scores with a shot to the corner of the net. Eric Johana Omondi assisted Claudiu Micovschi’s goal.
UTA Arad will now turn their attention to their Cup game against FC Voluntari on December 5th.
