Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah has been nominated for Player of the Month at Arsenal following an outstanding run.
After struggling for playing time in Mikel Arteta’s squad, the 22-year-old has rediscovered his form in recent weeks.
He scored three goals including a fantastic brace against Chelsea as Arsenal secured a crucial win at Stamford Bridge to boost their Champions League hopes.
He is up against Mohamed Elneny, Bukayo Saka, and Granit Xhaka, all of whom have been outstanding for Arsenal.
This season, the England youth international has scored seven goals for Arsenal.
Nketiah stated earlier this month that he is interested in representing Ghana.
‘Of course, it is a possibility. I’m open to both, playing for Ghana and playing for England as well,” Nketiah told The Beautiful Game podcast when asked about the move to play for the Black Stars.
“It’s always good to have the opportunity to potentially do that,” the youngster added.
Many have called for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar since his declaration for Ghana.
