Ghanaian quartet win 2021-22 Moldovan League title with Sheriff Tiraspol –

Ghanaian players namely; Abdul Basit Khalid, Patrick Kpozo, Edmund Addo and goalkeeper Razak Abalora have clinched the Moldovan Divizia Nationala title with Sheriff Tiraspol.

Sheriff sealed the 2021-22 Championship win on Friday after beating Dinamo-Auto 3-0 with goals from Cedric Badolo, Bruno and Adama Traore Malouda.

Abalora, Kpozo and Addo featured in the game whereas Abdul Basit lasted the entire duration on the bench.

Sheriff have amassed 66 points from 26 matches with two more to spare before the season comes to a closure.

Abalora who joined the Moldovan giants in January from Asante Kotoko SC made 2 appearances and kept clean sheets in both games.

Kpozo who also joined in January played two matches whilst Abdul Basit and Addo featured 15 times each with the former getting 5 goals to his credit.

This is the 20th time Sheriff have won the Moldovan League which offers the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Sheriff made the group stage of the Champions League for the very first time this season where they shocked giants Real Madrid by beating 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
