Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan and ex-Black Meteors star Kwame Ayew are in Liberia for the inauguration of the Invincible Sports Park in Monrovia. 

The Ghanaian duo were invited alongside other footballing legends on the continent by President of Liberia to witness the unveiling of the newly-built sports complex.

Other ex-footballers invited include Emmanuel Adebayor, former Liverpool striker El Hadji Diouf, Nigerian football icon J.J Okocha and Zambia’s Kalusha Bwalya. 

The list also includes Qatar Delegates, Samuel Eto’o, Luis Fernandes, FIFA Delegates,  Didier Drogba, Sekou Coulibaly, Alian Guamini,  Yousouf Fofana, Rocky Russell, and German Smith.

The Invincible Sports Part is an ultra-modern facility built to help develop sports in the West African country and has a standard FIFA football pitch, two football practice pitches, and two basketball courts, tennis and a volleyball court.

It also includes a track and field stretch, a mini children’s playground, and a parking space.

The project started in February last year and its completion is seen as a huge relief to the people of Monrovia.

The inauguration takes place on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Liberia.
