Ghanaian forward Kwame Karikari scores for Police Tero FC against Trat FC in Thailand

Ghanaian striker Kwame Karikari registered his name on the scoresheet for Police Tero FC in the Thai top flight.

Karikari lasted the full game in his outfit’s 3-1 home defeat to Trat FC on Saturday afternoon.

The head-to-head record for the teams before the game was Police Tero FC one win, Trat FC one win, and no draws.

In the thrilling encounter at the Boonyachinda Stadium, the home side scored in the second half through Jorge Fellipe, Rittiporn Whanchuen, and Santiphap Ratniyom. Kwame Karikari netted the consolation goal for his team

Jorge Fellipe opened the scoring for Trat with a header from the centre of the box to the top left corner. Thanaset Sujarit assisted Fellipe’s goal with a cross following a corner. The goal was awarded following VAR Review.

Rittiporn Whanchuen extended Trat’s lead to 2-0 with a right footed shot from the right side of the six yard box to the bottom right corner. Lidor Cohen assisted Whanchuen’s goal with a cross.

In the 71st minute, Kwame Karikari pulled one back with a header from the left side of the six yard box to the bottom right corner. His goal was assisted by Ekkachai Samre.

Santiphap Ratniyom sealed the win for Trat with a left footed shot from very close range to the bottom right corner.

Police Tero FC will play Chiangrai United in their next league game.
