Ghanaian forward Kelvin Yeboah joins Standard Liege on loan from Genoa

Ghanaian-born Italian forward Kelvin Yeboah will feature in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League for the remainder of the season after sealing a move to Standard Liege.

Yeboah joins Standard Liege on a short-term deal and is expected to play a huge role for the club in the ongoing campaign.

The 23-year-old saw his season long loan deal at Montpellier terminated after just six months after failing to impress. He made 16 appearances in his short stint, scoring just a goal in the Coupe de France against Amiens

However, the Genoa owned striker has sealed a six-month loan move to Standard Liege, with an option to buy at the end of the season.

“Standard de Liège, Genoa CFC and Kelvin YEBOAH have reached an agreement: the Italo-Ghanaian attacker will be loaned to our club until the end of this season (with purchase option),” excerpt of a statement confirming Kelvin Yeboah’s capturing read.

His contract with the Genoa CFC runs until June 30, 2026 having joined them during the summer transfer window in 2022.

He still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Italy U21 national youth team.
