Ghanaian forward Godwin Bentil scores in Niort defeat to Valenciennes in French Ligue 2 – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Ghanaian forward Godwin Kobby Bentil scored in Niort 2-1 defeat to Valenciennes in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.

The 21-year-old scored his first goal of the season at the Stade Rene Gaillard in his second appearance for the team.

Kobby Bentil scored the opening goal of the game in the 28th minute from a tap in after receiving a pass from Bilal Boutobba.

Ugo Bonnet drew level for Valenciennes in the 37th minute from a rebound.

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw

After recess, Niort came close at goal but was denied by Valenciennes goalkeeper  Lucas Chevalier.

Jawad Kalai came off the bench to score the winner for Valenciennes in the 74th minute.
