Former Black Stars forward Bernard Tekpetey has clinched the Bulgarian Parva Liga title for the second consecutive time with PFC Ludogorets Razgrad.
Ludogorets wrapped up the title triumph after thrashing Slavia Sofia 4-1 on Sunday at the Huvepharma Arena in Razgrad as challengers CSKA Sofia drew with Levski Sofia.
Tekpetey bagged a brace and also set up another goal to ensure Ludogorets become Bulgarian champions for the 11th time in history.
The 24-year-old scored in the 16th minute to increase the lead for the hosts after defender Gjoko Zajkov had scored an own to open the scoring two minutes earlier.
Tekpetey turned the provider for Argentinian forward Matias Tissera make it 3-0 the break.
The Ghanaian completed the victory for Ludogorets with his second goal in the match nine minutes after recess before Slavia got their consolation in the 79th minute.
Ludogorets have opened a 14-point gap with 67 points from 27 games while second placed CSKA Sofia are 53 points with four more fixtures to conclude the 2021-22 campaign.
Tekpetey has been in immense form for Ludogorets helping them to clinch their 11th league triumph with 9 goals and 5 assists in 20 appearances.
This is better of his first spell in the Bulgarian top-tier last season where he managed two goals in 25 matches while playing on loan from Schalke 04.
The UniStar Academy product made a permanent switch from the German side to Ludogorets in the summer in a deal worth around €900,000.
