Ghanaian striker Forster Ajago had an eventful start to life at Lexington SC, making his debut in the USL Championship on earlier this month, 2025, against Louisville City FC ; but it ended on a sour note.
The 23-year-old, on loan from MLS side Real Salt Lake, was sent off with a straight red card for violent conduct after an off-the-ball incident in which he kicked an opponent during a tussle. .
Prior to joining Lexington, the young forward had a promising start to the 2025 season with Real Salt Lake, scoring 2 goals in 8 appearances ; including goals against Herediano and Seattle Sounders FC in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
In 2024, he netted 7 goals in 12 games for Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, showing strong attacking instincts and physical presence.
The red card highlights a rocky beginning to his time in the USL, but Ajago is expected to bounce back and contribute more positively once he returns from suspension.
His loan move is aimed at providing regular minutes to further his development in North American football.
