Ghanaian players Seidu Suraj and Kofi Agbesimah have joined Iraqi club Aletsalat SC as the side continues to strengthen its squad before the new season.
Both players have completed their transfers and have already linked up with their new team-mates in training. They arrive in Iraq after establishing themselves as standout performers in the Ghana Premier League.
Suraj moves to Aletsalat SC from Dreams FC, where he became an important member of the squad. The midfielder was valued for his energy, creativity and ability to influence matches in both defensive and attacking phases.
He played a significant part in Dreams FC’s progress within Ghanaian football, contributing to the club’s strong performances in domestic competitions. Suraj was also involved during Dreams FC’s historic run in the CAF Confederation Cup, when the Ghanaian side reached the semi-finals.

Agbesimah joins the Iraqi club after an impressive spell with FC Samartex, where he played an important role in the team’s success in the Ghana Premier League.
The centre-back was part of the FC Samartex squad that won the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League title. That success was a landmark moment for the club, which secured its first top-flight championship.
Agbesimah developed a reputation as one of the league’s most dependable defenders during his time with FC Samartex. His strengths include physical power, aerial ability, composure in possession and leadership at the back.
Before joining FC Samartex, he represented several Ghanaian clubs and built further experience in the domestic league. His move to Aletsalat SC now gives him the opportunity to continue his development outside Ghana.
